Preparing students for practice - employer expectations for legal research skills
Monday, February 24, 2014
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Americas) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Ensure law students master the research skills they need to meet employer expectations and succeed in practice. This session will provide faculty with current and useful information on the AALL Standards for Research Competencies and what employers expect from their interns and new associates just in time for your summer associate preparation classes. What are the current strengths and weaknesses among new interns/associates? What law students don’t know but should know about research? How can law schools and legal employers work together in this area? You will get a variety of perspectives from guest speakers, Sally Wise, Library Director, University of Miami School of Law; Elaine Egan, Manager, Department of Information & Knowledge Services, Shearman & Sterling; and Julie Jones, Federal Court Law Librarian

Join us for this special 60 minute session on Monday, February 24th 3:00-4:00pm EST.
